Our story

Why the Foundation exists

Congested narrow road with two-wheelers, cars and a water tanker beside new construction

The Mohammadwadi Undri Residents Welfare Development Foundation is a citizen-led, non-profit organisation formed by responsible and committed residents of Mohammadwadi and Undri. The Foundation represents the collective voice of law-abiding, tax-paying citizens who are deeply concerned about the persistent neglect of this rapidly developing part of the city.

Despite significant population growth and substantial tax contributions, the area continues to face critical challenges such as inadequate civic infrastructure, poor road conditions, irregular water supply, ineffective waste management, traffic congestion, and insufficient public amenities. The Foundation was established to systematically identify these issues, document them, and raise them across appropriate platforms including the Municipal Corporation, State Government departments, elected representatives, and the media.

Our objective is not only to highlight grievances but also to actively engage with authorities, propose practical solutions, and ensure accountability through sustained follow-ups. By uniting residents under a common platform, the Foundation strives to safeguard the present quality of life and secure a planned, sustainable, and equitable future for Mohammadwadi and Undri.

Driven by transparency, inclusivity, and civic responsibility, the Foundation works in the larger public interest to ensure that development keeps pace with growth and that citizens receive the infrastructure, services, and governance they rightfully deserve.

What we do

Five ways we work for residents

Citizen Feedback & Representation

We collect and consolidate the views, concerns, and suggestions of residents and formally represent them to city planners, municipal authorities, and government administrators for appropriate action.

Highlighting Civic Shortcomings

We identify gaps in infrastructure and civic services arising from rapid urban growth and bring them to the notice of concerned authorities in a structured and solution-oriented manner.

Social Media & Public Advocacy

We responsibly use social and digital media to highlight unresolved issues, create public awareness, and encourage proactive, time-bound action by authorities.

Follow-up & Accountability

We continuously track grievances and official responses to ensure that commitments translate into on-ground implementation.

Collaborative Solutions

We engage constructively with authorities and stakeholders to suggest practical, sustainable solutions in the larger public interest.
